Ensemble electronics are like very
fine, hand-built musical instruments. They have the tonal purity,
precision and musical expressiveness that are a direct consequence
of the care and high standards bestowed on them. The more one listens
into them, the deeper the fascination grows, as they communicate
music in all its complexity so naturally and effortlessly. In fact,
they behave like instruments in the hands of virtuoso musicians,
carrying the listeners away by their sheer musicality, while making
them forget the underlying technical mastery.
The design effort behind Ensemble’s FONOBRIO phono preamp
is richly rewarded by stunning sonic results, revealing musical
secrets hitherto hidden deep down within the groove of LPs. The
signal handling part of the circuitry is a discreet, fully symmetrical
design, superior to anything that an IC solution would offer.
FONOBRIO phono (RIAA equalized) preamps for MC and MM pickups use
the same ultra-low noise, laboratory-grade power supply which is
super fast and stable, has very low impedance and is practically
free from ripple. Its big accu-like current reservoir and ultra-low
noise transistors ensure that vinyl discs have never sounded so
good.
